It's 6:45am, the kids are up, and Lyndhurst hasn't opened yet. But it's quietly well-stocked for the 6–10am gap: a 24-hour Dunkin', bagel counters firing at 5, two supermarkets at 7, an indoor playground at 9:30, and the headliner — the Meadowlands boardwalks at DeKorte Park opening at 7.
This is Lyndhurst's corner of the Meadowlands, so it's a radius, not a town line. Within about 20 minutes you're in Rutherford, North Arlington, Nutley, and Belleville, with the marsh trails at DeKorte and Mill Creek and Branch Brook Park's cherry blossoms nearby.
